Patch update for V1.1 of Calculus: Understanding Its Concepts and Methods

Version 5.5 - Scientific WorkPlace and Scientific Notebook

Version 1.1 of Calculus: Understanding Its Concepts and Methods has been released. The update, which requires Version 5.5 of Scientific WorkPlace or Scientific Notebook, provides faster plot generation, adds new animations, and corrects earlier misprints.

You can download a free patch update for the new version (110 MB) if you currently have Version 1 of the book installed. Please read the instructions carefully.

To download and install the patch update

1. Note the name of the directory in which Version 1 is installed. The default is the Calculus subdirectory of Scientific WorkPlace or Scientific Notebook.

2. Download the patch file to your Scientific WorkPlace or Scientific Notebook directory on your local hard drive, usually swp55 or Scientific Notebook.

   Note: This large patch update may take a long time to download.

3. Run the downloaded program and follow the screen prompts to install the update.
